Objective
Durable, unified park signs built to county branding standards.
BlinkSigns collaborated with Chatham County to design, manufacture, and install a series of custom signage solutions for multiple parks and recreation facilities throughout Savannah, Georgia. The project’s primary objectives were to enhance community identity, standardize park signage, and improve wayfinding and visual appeal across county-managed recreational spaces.
Across multiple Chatham County park sites, BlinkSigns fabricated 2" thick sandblasted HDU identification signs featuring raised copy, raised borders, and raised circular logo medallions.
All panels have a woodgrain texture and are color-matched to Chatham County’s brand palette, with raised painted white lettering and digitally printed, laminated logo graphics applied first surface. The signs are mounted on heavy-duty 6" x 6" post structures wrapped with white PVC sleeves and decorative caps, and installed as direct-burial systems with concrete footings for long-term stability.
Several locations use single-sided HDU signs customized with unique park names, while others use double-sided HDU signs with dual faces mounted on shared posts to provide visibility from multiple directions and increased wind-load performance.
Developed a standardized production workflow and coordinated site scheduling to maintain brand accuracy and on-time delivery.
Utilized powder-coated posts, UV-resistant coatings, and HDU substrates known for durability and dimensional stability.
Used scaled vector art and consistent Pantone references, supported by full-scale production proofs for client approval prior to manufacturing.
Clean, modern signage improved the aesthetic environment and visitor experience.
High-quality HDU materials and energy-efficient fabrication processes minimized environmental impact.
Unified visual style across all Chatham County parks and recreation sites.
