Objective
Develop a unified signage package that met brand standards, ADA regulations, and offered durability and visual clarity.
BlinkSigns partnered with Park & Eleazer Construction to deliver a complete signage program for The Lockup Self Storage facility located at 17845 Curry Preserve Drive, Punta Gorda, FL. The goal was to provide functional and brand-cohesive signage solutions that aligned with ADA guidelines, enhanced visibility, and supported tenant navigation across the property.
Monument Signs
The monument sign is constructed with dual 8" deep extruded aluminum cabinets, painted to match PMS 288. It features LED-illuminated, digitally printed Lexan faces and UL-listed electrical components. The finish includes ½” thick brushed aluminum FCO (flat cut-out) letters, stud-mounted flush to the face. The entire unit is mounted on foundations provided by others to achieve a clean and elevated presentation.
Channel Letter Building Signage
The front-lit aluminum channel letters are fabricated with 5” returns and translucent vinyl faces, providing a bold and professional appearance. Colors are precisely matched to PMS 288C and PMS 186C to maintain brand consistency. Sloan white LEDs are integrated within the letters to ensure excellent visibility, with optional photocell or timer-based controls available for efficient lighting management. The letters are flush-mounted to the building surface, offering a clean, streamlined look that enhances visibility from a distance.
ADA-compliant signage
ADA-compliant stair signs, restroom signs, and room identifiers are fabricated from ⅛” thick acrylic, ensuring both durability and a sleek appearance. Each sign includes Grade II Braille, raised Helvetica text, and high-contrast finishes to enhance visibility and meet accessibility standards. For secure and efficient installation, all signs are mounted using high-strength VHB tape, providing long-lasting adhesion without compromising aesthetics.
